AALO, Jan 2: The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has upgraded 38 kms of the Aalo to Kaying single-lane road to a double lane road, and its completion is expected to reduce the travel time by an hour.
The 92 RCC under 44 BRTF Project Brahmank (BRO) has been working on upgrading the 45-km long stretch in West Siang district since July 2013 despite climatic challenges throughout the year, the DIPRO informed on Wednesday.
About 38 km of the stretch is fully developed to national highway double lane width, while the remaining stretch of 7 km is scheduled to be developed by mid 2019 with the dedicated efforts of the BRO men and local CPLs. (DIPRO)
