ITANAGAR, Jan 20: A Class 11 student, identified as Yumlam Eiha, died in an accident on the Jullang-Papu Hapa road on Saturday when the motorcycle he was on collided head-on with another bike.
Eiha was a native of Yumlam village in Kurung Kumey district. The incident took place around two o’clock in the afternoon.
Eiha, who was riding pillion, reportedly died on the spot while the rider, who is critically injured, is undergoing treatment. The rider who was coming from the opposite direction is also stated to be in critical condition and has been evacuated to the NEIGRIHMS in Shillong.
The Yumlam Academic and Career Foundation Society has mourned Eiha’s untimely demise and expressed condolences to the bereaved family.
