Govt asked to act on committee report

ITANAGAR, Jan 22: The All Nyishi Youth Association has demanded that the state government initiate urgent action based on the report submitted by the fact-finding committee on the Potin-Bopi Trans-Arunachal Highway compensation scam, so that work on the highway starts at the earliest.
In a press release, the association on Tuesday expressed resentment over what it called the government’s inaction on the report, and said people are facing huge inconvenience due to the poor condition of the Potin-Bopi road.
“Many months have already passed but why is the state government delaying initiating action on the report submitted by the committee through physical verifications with landowners, GBs and general public? The genuine compensation beneficiaries should get justice. The compensation scam should not be a hindrance to the development of road communication. All kinds of development will be possible in the interior areas of Arunachal Pradesh if the roads are well connected,” the association said.
