DOLLUNGMUKH, Jan 23: Stating that a bridge over Dollung River is scheduled to be inaugurated on 6 February before its completion, the All Dollungmukh Area Student’s Union (ADASU) demanded postponement of the inauguration programme until the bridge is completed.
Describing the move a “politically-motivated programme” to draw public attention, the ADASU urged the Raga MLA to postpone
the scheduled programme, or warned of boycotting the programme.
The students’ union informed that only few works of the bridge have been completed.
Clarifying its stand that the student union was not against developmental activities in their area, the ADASU said inauguration of the bridge prior to its completion will serve no purpose.
