NAMSAI, Feb 1: A six-day-long skill training programme for rural youths on scientific pig farming concluded at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) here on Friday.
The programme was organised by the KVK in association with the State Agriculture Management & Extension Training Institute and the National Institute of Agriculture Extension Management.
The 15 trainees were taken to an exotic pig breeding farm in Lohit HQ Tezu, and to fields of progressive farmers practicing pig-fish-rice integrated farming in Namsai district.
The programme was designed under the leadership of animal science scientist Dr Santosh Kumar.
