TEZU, Feb 2: Sports & Youth Affairs Minister Dr Mohesh Chai inaugurated three high-mast light towers in the town during a function at ALC Line here in Lohit district on Saturday.
Speaking during the function, Dr Chai said the installation of the high-mast light towers at prominent locations of Tezu would help check antisocial elements, and that the residents would have a sense of security and safety during nighttime.
Under the project, three high-mast lighting towers with a capacity of 9×200 watt (1.8 kw) each have been installed at ALC Line, near the government secondary school in Tezu Nallah, and in the township area.
Namsai Electrical Division EE AK Pal and Lohit SP DW Thongon also spoke. (DIPRO)
