‘Officers and Officials Idol’ contest begins

ITANAGAR, Feb 11: The second edition of the ‘Officers and Officials Idol’ contest began at Banquet Hall here on Monday with the audition round for the participants who came on through online entries.
ADC Talom Dupak, who attended the function, said everyone should pursue their passions and hobbies, and expressed hope that the programme would “offer an opportunity to bring government servants together on a single platform to pursue their passion.”
Six participants in each category have been selected. They will now compete with the participants from the districts in the next round. The results can be viewed on https://itanagar.nic.in/festival.
The contest is part of the Statehood Day celebration, and the winners will get a chance to perform in the opening ceremony of the Statehood Day celebration.
Monday’s audition was judged by Arunachal Idol Meenam Goi, renowned artist Toko Yapa Welly, and RGU’s fine arts & music assistant professor Ashok Barman. (DIPRO)
