NAHARLAGUN, Feb 19: Members of the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) on Tuesday visited the police station (PS) here and enquired about the status of the case regarding the dead body of a woman which was found floating in the Barapani river near the helipad here recently.
The team requested the police to expedite the investigation into the case to ensure that justice is delivered at the earliest. It also requested the people to cooperate with the police during the investigation.
Naharlagun PS OC D Dolum informed the APSCW team that the body has been sent for postmortem.
Expressing anguish over the repeated occurrence of such incidents, the APSCW extended its condolences to the bereaved family.
