ITANAGAR, Feb 26: Chief Minister Pema Khandu has wished members of the Nyishi community on the occasion of Nyokum Yullo.
In a solemn message, the CM expressed pain over the loss of young lives in the recent agitation, and appealed to all to remember them and pray for peace for their souls while invoking Mother Nyokum this celebration.
“We were witness to very bad times, which we need to leave behind and work together for peace and progress of our state. May this Nyokum be a call for peace and strengthen the brotherhood among the indigenous communities of our state,” Khandu said.
He also appealed to the elders and youths of the community to shoulder the responsibility of the “elder brother” tag and show the path of peace and progress to the rest. (CMO)
