Health camp inaugurated

NAMSAI, Mar 7: The Namsai MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom on Thursday inaugurated the 3 days mega health camp with multi-specialty health care services here at District Hospital.
The camp being organized by Department of Health and Family Welfare, Namsai is funded under Mukhya Mantri Kalyan Kosh (MMRKK).
The services of Medicine, Obs. & Gynae, Eye, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Dermatology, ENT, Anaesthesiology and Pathology are being provided to the beneficiaries during the camp. Besides specialists available in the district four specialists were hired from the hospitals of Tezu, Roing, Pasighat and a private practitioner (Dermatologist) from Tinsukia Assam.
MLA Namchoom also inaugurated the much needed OT (Operation Theatre) at District Hospital Namsai and made it officially functional.
Chau Zingnu Namchoom in his speech appealed to everyone to avail maximum benefit from this camp. He declared that all the three elected MLAs of the district have contributed one crore each from their allotted fund for the development of the erstwhile CHC Namsai to a District Hospital.
Speaking on the occasion DC Dr Tapasya Raghav expressed her happiness to be a part of the historic occasion. She appealed to the public of district to avail the maximum benefit from the camp. She also urged the doctors and health staff to remain healthy to be able to provide best services to the needy people.
