PASIGHAT, Mar 23: A five-day skill development workshop for women on bead jewellery, organized by the art & culture department in collaboration with the union culture ministry’s North East Zone Cultural Centre, began at Engo Takar Hall here on Saturday.
Addressing the inaugural function, East Siang DC Kinny Singh encouraged the women and SHG members to make the best of such skill-based training programmes for their economic empowerment.
Experts Yaham Borang and Yapong Jerang are imparting training to the 30 participants.
District Art & Culture Officer Augusti Jamoh and ADC (HQ) Taddo Borang were also present. (DIPRO)
