Bapu not to contest for Dirang seat

DIRANG, Mar 24: Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) secretary Tamrin Bapu on Sunday announced that he will not be contesting in the state assembly election for the Dirang seat.
A senior leader and the APCC’s secretary in charge of Tawang and West Kameng districts, Bapu said he has held discussions with APCC president Takam Sanjoy, and has decided to work for the party under the leadership of Congress Legislature Party leader Takam Pario.
Expressing support to the Congress’ candidate for Dirang, Tsering Gyurmey, and Arunachal West parliamentary constituency candidate Nabam Tuki, Bapu said: “We will ensure the victory of Tuki and Gyurmey.”
