NAHARLAGUN, Apr 1: A house near the Jully tri-junction here was gutted in a fire accident which occurred at around 9.30 pm on Sunday.
Naharlagun Fire Station Officer Sujit Chakraborty informed that they pressed three fire trucks into service to douse the flames. However, all personal belongings of the occupants were reduced to ashes.
The building’s owner, Kumari Tanga Zirdo, and the other occupants were not in the house when the accident occurred.
Since there was no electricity at the time of the incident, it is suspected that burning candles may have been the source of the fire.
