KOLORIANG, Apr 5: Street plays were staged in Koloriang, Sangram and Nyapin in Kurung Kumey district on Friday to create awareness on adult franchise, under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme.
DC Santosh Kumar Rai, who attended the performance here, urged the voters to cast their votes.
“The voters may directly contact the control room, or the DC, or the SP for immediate response if they face any hindrance during polling day,” he said.
Rai asked the people to maintain peace and tranquility for free and fair election, and requested the contesting candidates to ensure that their workers do not create any law and order problems in order to avert re-polling.
