ITANAGAR, Apr 10: Governor BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Pongtu festival of the Tutsa community, and expressed hope that the celebrations would usher in peace, happiness and progress for all.
While Mishra joined the Tutsa community in offering prayers to almighty Rangkathok “for his choicest blessings on all of us,” Khandu lauded the indigenous communities of the state for taking pride in their cultures, and said the “celebration of festivals such as Pongtu is one proven way of preserving culture for posterity.” (Raj Bhavan and CMO)
