Poll teams return; scrutiny awaited in Kurung Kumey, Kra Daadi

ITANAGAR, Apr 14: Barring one, all the remaining polling teams have returned to their district headquarters.
Three days after the polls, one of the teams remains stranded as the helicopter which was meant to pick it up could not take off due to inclement weather.
The last polling team from Chepe in Dibang Valley district returned on Sunday afternoon; the last polling team from the Nacho constituency had returned on Saturday night.
Scrutiny of EVMS has been carried out in all the districts except Kurung Kumey and Kra Daadi. The scrutiny in Upper Subansiri was done on Sunday.
The observers will send proposals for re-polls to the Election Commission of India directly.

Itanagar records less than 50% as state’s poll percentage rises to 76.95
Meanwhile, the poll percentage of the state increased to 76.95 by Sunday evening, with the Arunachal East parliamentary constituency recording 83.52 percent voting and the west parliamentary constituency recording 72.15 percent voter turnout.
As per the update till 5 pm on Sunday, the Pongchau-Wakka constituency with 91.87 percent elector turnout remains at the top with a .01 percent increase since Saturday evening.
Itanagar has recorded the lowest turn out.
The numbers for the next four constituencies with the highest voter turnout remain the same: Khonsa West (91.69%), Mariyang-Geku (91.46%), Mebo (91.45%) and Pasighat West (89.34%).
The lowest turnout of voters has been in the Itanagar constituency with the same percentage (43.55) as Saturday, followed by Aalo East with 63.29 percent.
Tali constituency, which had recorded the lowest turnout of 23.66 percent, leaped to 65.39 percent by Sunday evening, and now stands third from the bottom.
Palin and Koloriang constituencies, which had recorded the second and the fourth lowest turnout of electors, also saw a climb with 66.55 percent and 68.99 percent voter turnout, respectively, and are now at the fourth and the fifth position from the bottom.
According to reports received from the state election commission here, all teams from the Nacho constituency in Upper Subansiri district have arrived at their receiving centre and scrutiny is underway.
Due to bad weather conditions, helicopter sorties could not be continued. However, attempts will be made again on Monday to bring back the election officials and materials.
