ITANAGAR, Apr 25: The Kurung Kumey district unit of the All Arunachal Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers’ Association (ISSE) has condemned the assault on SSA teacher (TGT) Gida Taya on 11 April while he was on election duty at the Korayar polling station in Kra Daadi district, and demanded early arrest of the culprit(s) involved in the attack.
The association claimed that the culprit(s) attacked Taya without any provocation.
“An FIR has been lodged at the Palin police station but no arrests have been made as yet. We strongly appeal to the authorities concerned to arrest the culprit(s) soon and award him stringent punishment as per the law,” it said.
