LONGDING, Apr 27: Over 7,000 saplings of Khasi Mandarin orange were distributed to farmers during a two-day distribution programme held at Samsatang and Longding on 25 and 26 April.
The programme was organized by the ICAR’s Arunachal Pradesh centre based in Basar, in collaboration with the Longding Krishi Vigyan Kendra.
A farmers-scientists interaction programme was also held, where state ICAR Centre Joint Director Dr H Kalita briefed the farmers on the scientific methods of planting orange saplings.
