NEW PALIN, May 15: The Kra Daadi District Youth Congress has demanded suspension of former Kra Daadi district Deputy Commissioner cum Palin Returning Officer, Sulung Miji and Pania Additional Deputy Commissioner cum Palin ARO, J T Obi for allegedly ‘manipulating and hiding election reports.’
In a representation to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), the District Youth Congress (DYC) alleged that Miji has failed to conduct fair election at Palin Assembly constituency. Accusing him of partiality in conduct of election, the DYC said that the poll related reports from Raibalo presiding officer and sector magistrate of Rakso polling station were kept hidden from reaching the authority concerned for scrutiny.
ADC J T Obi, while acting as Assistant Returning Officer has failed to do justice to his position, the DYC said and accused him of tempering video footage of CCTV camera ‘that was captured during the poll at Raibalo polling station on 11 April.’
