ITANAGAR, Jun 1: The United Leil Tara Youth Foundation (ULTYF) has backed the demand of the All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) for proper investigation into the Aleb Basumatary murder case and awarding punishment to the person(s) involved in the crime.
In a release on Saturday, the ULTYF extended support to the victim’s family and the ABSU over “the demands they have placed before the state government.”
It also urged civil society organisations and “likeminded people of the state” to “discourage such criminals, irrespective of tribe, clan, religion and region.”
The ABSU has also demanded early release of compensation to the victim’s family, and cancellation of the bail petition filed by the accused.
