AALO, Jun 8: The Apex Bank branch here in West Siang district observed the Financial Literacy Week, themed ‘Bank ke saath judne se faayde anek’, at its office on Friday.
During the function, which was sponsored by the NABARD and the APRO, Agriculture Development Officer (ADO) Nyage Loya stressed on the need to impart financial education to progressive farmers to help them avail need-based projects in the district.
Enumerating the various forms of assistance provided by the bank in the agriculture sector, the ADO said, “The Kisan credit card provides a single window for all crop production, investment, allied activities and consumption needs through cashless transaction, saving time by transferring money from one account to another through mobile phone or internet.” (DIPRO)
