Assn urges CM to check ‘unseen expenses’

ITANAGAR, Jun 11: The All Arunachal Contractor’s Welfare Association has welcomed Chief Minister Pema Khandu’s decision to stop funding individually motivated projects, and said funds meant for development of roads, schools, hospitals, etc, earlier used to be diverted to individual projects like construction of CC pavement roads, retaining walls, and such.
In a press release, the association expressed hope that the CM would eradicate the “high rate of unseen expenditure involved during approving and awarding of contract works at the top government level.”
It said such “unseen expenses” affected the quality of work and “hampered the works of genuine contractors.”
