New capital DC takes stock of depts’ activities

ITANAGAR, Jun 17: Vikram Singh Malik, who took over the charge of the capital complex deputy commissioner here on Monday, convened a meeting with the administrative officers and HoDs of the capital to discuss issues relating to every department.
Malik also reviewed the monsoon preparedness, and emphasized the need for greater coordination and cooperation among the stakeholders in tackling disasters.
“As natural disasters are unpredictable and inevitable, measures and good practices should be adopted in combating disasters and averting calamities,” the DC said.
He reviewed the activities of the PWD, the PHED and the electrical department, and asked the departments’ officers to work in coordination with each other.
