Combined NCC trg camp begins

ITANAGAR, Jun 17: Five hundred boy and girl cadets from various schools and colleges of the state and Assam are participating in the combined annual training camp which is being conducted by the NCC’s 1 Arunachal Pradesh Bn at Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic College here from 17 to 26 June.
During the camp, the cadets will be introduced to disciplined military life and be taught the basic qualities of leadership, camaraderie and national integration.
Five teachers from schools and colleges accompanying the cadets as associate NCC officers/caretaker officers, along with 20 army personnel will also participate in the camp, under the supervision of the NCC’s 1 Arunachal Pradesh Bn CO Col RK Sharma.
The camp will also feature community development activities like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, blood donation camp, etc, along with lectures and demonstrations on first aid by the health department, firefighting demonstration by the Itanagar firefighting service, weapon display by the 31 ITBP, road safety and traffic rules by the Itanagar traffic police, self-defence training by the APP, and a demonstration by Doimukh-based 12th Bn NDRF.
