AOA to organise ‘Olympic run’ to mark IOD

ITANAGAR, June 20: The Arunachal Olympic Association (AOA) will celebrate the International Olympic Day (IOD) by organizing an ‘Olympic run’ in the state capital in the morning of 23 June.
Around 500 runners are expected to participate in the run, and the winners in both men’s and women’s categories will be awarded cash prizes. The AOA will also felicitate the coaches of the state for their contribution towards promotion of sports.
Youth Affairs & Sports Minister Mama Natung is expected to attend the programme.
The Olympic associations of Tirap, East Kameng and Lower Subansiri districts will also celebrate the day with various activities, informed AOA secretary-general Abraham K Techi.
