Felix urges officials to serve rural population on mission mode

ITANAGAR, Jun 20: Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (RD&PR) Minister Bamang Felix has urged the officers of the two departments to “work on a mission mode towards their noble responsibility of serving the rural population,” according to an official release.
Felix said this during a review meeting on the programmes being implemented by the two departments, the Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM), and the State Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (SIRD&PR) here on Thursday.

He asked the officials to start working to “ensure roofs for everybody, employment for the rural people, and sustainable incomes for all rural households in the state.”
Felix also outlined the benchmarks for achieving “all-round development as per Milestones@75” and to “develop a specific plan for the same to commemorate India’s 75 years of independence.”
He called for reviewing the performance of officials at each level at regular intervals, and directed the officials to share the reports of such reviews.
Assuring the grassroots officials of support from his end, the minister cautioned non-performing officials that their transfer and posting would be linked with their performance.
