TAWANG, Jun 22: Girl students of various government schools of Tawang who passed the Class 12 exam in the 2017-18 session were awarded with smartphones in a function held here on Saturday.
Local MLA Tsering Tashi commended the hard work of the teachers and the students, and urged them to do better, saying “there is always scope for improvement.”
He also addressed the problems of the higher secondary school here which had been placed before him prior to the elections.
Interacting with the students, DDSE Hridhar Phuntso advised them to “have a positive outlook and learn to be good citizens of the country.”
DC Sang Phuntsok told the students that “the present state government is giving priority to the education and health sectors, and the distributing of smartphones to girl students who have passed the Class 12 exam is an example of the government’s concern towards girls’ education.” (DIPRO)
