ITANAGAR, Jul 1: The Innovation Hub of the Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre (APSC) at IG Park here organized a ‘Design thinking and ideation workshop’ for school students on Monday.
About a hundred students participated in the workshop, which featured, among other things, ‘lateral thinking and ideation exercises.’
The students were explained the ‘process of problem identification, problem defining, brainstorming and generation of ideas, and then the evaluation of the ideas.’
The National Innovation Foundation’s (NIF) NE regional coordinator Dr Nitin Maurya was the resource person.
Addressing the students, Science & Technology Director CD Mungyak emphasized on “creativity and innovative thinking,” and invited all students to be members of the innovation hub “and convert their innovative ideas into prototypes and products.”
“The APSC and the NIF have joined hands to promote original, creative ideas of students and other grassroots innovators from the state,” he said.
Innovation Hub chief mentor Dr RM Altekar highlighted the activities of the innovation hub, and urged students to make use of the facilities there.
