SEPPA, Jul 5: The Block Mission Management unit of Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) has organized the ‘Mahila Kisan Sashaktikaran Pariyojana (MKSP) orientation and roll out programme’ here at Kameng Hall in East Kameng district on Thursday. The theme of the programme was ‘Empowering women on sustainable agriculture’.
Speaking on the occasion, Bameng ADC Marpe Riba urged all the officials present to change their attitude and work with dedication ‘in order to convince farmers to adopt new and enhanced methods of agri practices.’
Riba urged the SHG members to make good use of the resources and trainings being given by ArSRLM to enhance their livelihoods. He assured to extend support and help whenever needed.
Bana EAC Atin Padung also assured to cooperate in programme implementation for the women farmers.
ArSLM’s Seppa block mission manager Wangjing Wangjen highlighted the vision and mission of the NRLM and the achievement of the block mission management.
The aim and objective of the MKSP was explained by Block Coordinator (livelihoods & Skills) Mimar Basar. Basar also highlighted various agri-allied activities to be taken up under the project.
Among others, officials from agri-allied departments, Bameng and Seppa block development offices, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Pampoli, and women and child development department attended the programme.
