ITANAGAR, Jul 15: Alleging that the construction of the road from Paka (Langdang) to Riambang (Stage I) in Kra Daadi district has not been executed as per the DPR, the All Arunachal Volunteers Sena in a representation to the chief secretary on Monday requested him to direct the Jamin RWD division’s executive engineer to ensure that the road is constructed as per the DPR and avoid release of bill payment until the work is done as per the required specifications.
The organization claimed that the Rs 55,15,92,000 project for construction of the 55-km road (Package No AR/14/01/046) was completed in March 2016.
“The construction of Stage I has not been executed as per the DPR but payment has been made against the work to the contractors. Physical achievement is not proportionate to the bill payment made to the contractors. As per DPR, a minimum of 300 slab culverts had to be constructed, but it was seen the work was not done as per DPR. Also, there is no drainage system. The contractor has taken up earth-cutting for only 45 kms, but as per the DPR it should be 55 kms, which is not acceptable,” the organisation said.
