AALO, Jul 16: The North East Frontier Technical University (NEFTU) here in West Siang district observed World Youth Skills Day on Tuesday by registering six different vocational training (BVoc) courses for educated unemployed youths, in association with the National Skills Qualification Framework and the National Skill Development Corporation.
All of the programmes will be implemented in collaboration with the central government and the University Grants Commission.
The trainee students have the option to study BVoc in agriculture, building construction technology, e-commerce and digital marketing, paramedical and health administration, retail management, and tourism & hospitality management, with an intake of 120 trainee students in each batch and each course.
The trainee students will have the option of “undertaking the course at the industry partner location where they are working/interning or in regular face-to-face mode within the NEFTU campus, and will also be paid stipends by the government of India through the UGC,” the NEFTU stated in a release.
