NEW DELHI, Jul 23: Bameng MLA Goruk Pordung inaugurated the guest house established by Arunachal Pradesh-based Gyan Mission Orphanage (GMO) at Safdarjung Enclave here on Tuesday.
The MLA in his address advised that the guest house should sincerely serve the people of Arunachal visiting the national capital.
Pordung said though there are government-run accommodations like the Arunachal Bhavan and the Arunachal House here, these are not enough to cater to the needs of the people.
“Sometimes people of Arunachal who visit the national capital for various purposes have to face lots of problems in getting accommodation. All of them cannot afford to stay in hotels, which are very costly,” he said.
GMO chairperson Yasi Nalo Sonam informed that the majority of revenue generated by the guest house will be used for charity works.
Among others, Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board Chairman Jalley Sonam and social activist Norbu Sonam were present at the function.
