NAHARLAGUN, Aug 30: Finance Secretary YW Ringu asked the state’s DDOs to be well-versed with the latest financial rules to ensure smooth transaction of government funds.
Ringu, who attended a workshop conducted by the Hero Mindmine Pvt Ltd, in collaboration with the finance department, here on Friday, said she was surprised to learn that a government employee of the state who was working in a particular department had been “drawing salaries from two places since March 2019.”
Expressing serious concern over such lapse, she said action would be initiated against the defaulter.
The accounts & treasuries director and an official from Hero Mindmine spoke on various facets of the new pension scheme introduced in the state in January 2008, and the guidelines for implementation of the scheme.
Audit & Pension Joint Director SK Bagra also spoke.
FAOs, TOs, DDOs and staffers from the finance department, the accounts & treasuries department, and the audit & pension department attended the workshop. (DIPR)
