ITANAGAR, Sep 5: Alleging that in spite of repeated submission of FIRs against officers responsible for alleged anomalies in the power department in Tirap district the Special Investigation Cell (SIC) has not registered the case yet, one Charu Giania has urged the SIC to direct the authority concerned to register a criminal case against the officers involved in the anomalies.
In a representation to the SIC, Giania claimed that the then power EE, AE and JE of Khonsa, along with the firm RB Agarwala Khonsa, mismanaged funds in February 2012.
Requesting the SIC to act against the officers, Giania also claimed that the eastern zone power CE and the department’s then Deomali EE released the main accused on retirement even before an inquiry had been initiated.
