Officers undergo computer skills test

NAHARLAGUN, Sep 7: A ‘basic computer knowledge and skills test’ under the Samagra Shiksha (Integrated Scheme for School Education) was conducted for the officers and officials of the education department at the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) here on Saturday.
The test was conducted as a step towards making digitalization of official working system a reality.
Sixty-five candidates appeared for the test. Those who qualify will be called for viva voce, and the selected candidates would then be posted in different districts for two years.
The test was conducted by a team of officers and officials of the Samagra Shiksha (ISSE) and the NIELIT, and supervised by Education Secretary Madhu Rani Teotia.
“The decision for assessment of basic computer knowledge was felt necessary on launching of mandatory project monitoring system portal for implementation of various interventions under Samagra Shiksha (ISSE) by the MHRD in the recent past,” Samagra Shiksha (ISSE) Deputy State Project Director Nangram Pingkap said in a release.
