DK Memorial State Badminton Championship results

ITANAGAR, Sep 8: Lobsang Raptan and Norbu Chotten of Tawang entered into the semifinals of the U-19 mixed doubles event in the 6th Dorjee Khandu Memorial State Badminton Championship here on Sunday.
They beat the pair of Dai Weshi and Jomoni Lochung of East Kameng 14-21, 21-15, 21-15 in the quarterfinal.
The quarterfinal matches for the boys’ U-9 singles, boys’ and girls’ U-13 singles, and the boys’ U-15 doubles were played on Sunday.
In the boys’ singles (U-9), Dindo Linggi of Lower Dibang Valley, Dopum Neri of East Kameng, Ligam Angu of Papum Pare and Parmod Joshi of Kurung Kumey entered into the semifinals.
While Linggi defeated Limar Lollen of West Siang 21-11, 21-18, Neri beat Licha Polu of Papum Pare 21-17, 21-17. Angu beat Joram Tado of Kamle 21-16, 21-16 and Joshi defeated Nani Rabing of ASBA 21-5, 21-6.
Pakli Bagra of Kurung Kumey, Nabam Icaac of Papum Pare, Ken Kayi of Lohit and Geson Potom of Kurung Kumey entered into the boys’ U-13 singles semifinals.
Bagra defeated Jamar Koyu of Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy (SLSA) 21-5, 21-14, Icaac defeated Khyoda Taking of ASBA 21-14, 21-14, Kayi beat Taku Manku of ASBA 21-12, 22-20, and Potom beat Aji Linggi of Lower Dibang Valley (LDV) 21-9, 21-4.
In the girls’ U-13 singles, Jamba Waii of East Kameng, Khoda Konya of SLSA, Sonam Choten of West Kameng and Beryi Saring of ASBA secured their semifinal berths.
While Waii defeated Adam Doyom of Upper Siang 17-21, 21-10, 21-11, Konya beat Boristha Borgohain of ASBA 21-16, 10-21, 21-14, Choten defeated Busmi Rago of Upper Siang 21-12, 21-4, and Saring defeated Gelin Doji of SLSA 21-8, 21-6.
In the boys’ U-15 doubles, the duo of Gejum Riram-Nima Tenzin of SLSA defeated the pair of Ashish Hiffo and Raj Aja of Pakke Kessang 21-11, 21-12, Golab Chetia-Saurav Sonawal of Namsai defeated Arvin Deb-Wunji Michichi of Lohit 18-21, 21-09, 21-19, Dai Eeshi-HS Taku of East Kameng defeated Nyate Dobin-Tatu Dobin of Upper Siang 21-15, 21-17 and Lobsang Choidup-Lobsang Rapten of Tawang beat Bikash Limbu-Bitum Ronya of West Siang 21-10, 21-12 to secure their semifinal berths.
In the U-9 girls’ singles, Bamang Anam of Changlang defeated Yami Riang of ASBA 21-16, 21-16 to enter the semifinals, while in the U-11 boys’ doubles, Licha Gumsh and Nabam Oken of Papum Pare entered the semifinals, defeating Lobsang Wanchu and Nawang T Nguiclong of Tawang.
