ITANAGAR, Sep 16: Ten traders were booked for violating provisions of the Legal Metrology Act and Rules during checking conducted in various shops in Lekhi village and Nirjuli area by a mobile inspection team of the legal metrology & consumer affairs department on Monday.
While eight traders were booked for selling packaged items without mandatory information like maximum retail price, date of manufacture, etc, two were booked for using unverified and non-standard weights and measures in their day-to-day commercial transactions.
