PALIN, Oct 17: Rai Balo village, in Gangte circle of Kra Daadi district, was adopted as a model village under the CM’s Adarsh Gram Yojana (CMAGY) for the Palin-Chambang assembly constituency during a function here on 15 October.
Earlier, on 14 October, local MLA Balo Raja along with Kra Daadi DC S Miji and HoDs inspected the government middle school in Balo, and interacted with the teachers. He lauded them for making the school “one of the best performing schools of the district, despite several difficulties being faced by them.”
The MLA also commended the role of the villagers in properly demarcating the school’s boundary with wire fencing. “This has kept the school campus free from encroachment,” he said.
The MLA and the DC also inspected the residential school and the primary health centre in Balo.
Later, addressing a gathering, the MLA said Rai Balo “will be (brought) at par with other modern villages of the country, with all basic amenities, with its adoption as a model village.”
The DC on his part expressed hope that with the adoption of Rai Balo as a model village, “a new age of development will be ushered in,” and urged the villagers to support the administration.
“Proper planning of all projects is mandatory for their effective implementation. A master plan should be worked out well in advance before the projects’ implementation. Convergence of schemes and activities is needed for all-round development,” Miji said. (DIPRO)
