ITANAGAR, Oct 18: In a fresh development in the case of the rape allegation against Bameng MLA Guruk Pordung, the accuser on Friday said the MLA has filed a complaint against her husband, accusing him of blackmail and conspiracy.
On being contacted, Women Police Station OC, NP Taku, informed that a complaint has indeed been received from the accused against the accuser’s husband. She said, however, that the case has not been registered yet.
The accuser alleged that the police, instead of helping her get justice, were “supporting the accused and shielding him,” and threatened to commit suicide if anything happens to her husband and justice is not delivered to her.
“Instead of arresting the person who wronged me, they are now trying to arrest my husband,” she said, showing a piece of paper which she claimed was her suicide note.
“I am the victim; please have some soft corner for me,” she appealed, adding that she wants justice, and that the truth must be revealed.
