CHIMPU, Oct 18: YGFC and Chimpu FC entered the quarterfinals of the 25th Vishwakarma Running Trophy Football Tournament here on Friday.
YGFC beat AVVYA FC 2-0, while Chimpu FC defeated Hakang Haya FC 3-0 to reach the last eight.
Rigam Peter [8th min] T Tsering [26th min] scored the goals for YGFC.
Tsering was adjudged the man of the match.
For Chimpu FC, Likha Job scored in the 6th minute, while Karling Fafa scored a brace, in the 24th and the 45th minute, respectively.
Job was adjudged the man of the match.
On Thursday, Manipuri FC drubbed Pigey Poro FC 7-0 to reach the quarterfinals. In another match of the day, Hitey Chatey FC beat Chandranagar FC 4-3 through penalty shootout.
