RUKSIN, Oct 23: The members of the Friendship Finance Team (FFT) of Mikong village under Ruksin circle on Thursday started repair of the potholes and rough patches on 14-km Mirem-Mikong-Ruksin PWD road on self help basis.
The 20-member FFT members led by Gemin Modi filled the large potholes from Mirem tinali to Peneng bridge-point with sand-gravels.
They also invited the local villagers of Mirem, Mikong, Niglok, Ralung, Ngorlung and Ruksin to join hands in the repair works.
The MMR road (earlier known as MMJ road) is in a deplorable condition for want of maintenance, causing great inconvenience to the commuters.
