Union writes to CM, reiterates demands

ITANAGAR, Oct 24: The Joint Working Committee of Arunachal Pradesh Trade Union (JWCAPTU) has in a reminder to Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday, reiterated its demands and appealed to him to fulfill its three major demands at the earliest.
Its demands include 50 percent reservation of Group C & D posts for casual/ contingency workers in every department as per seniority basis; enhancement of grade pay of all work charge staffs, especially in the engineering department and regularisation of the services of ALCs by framing proper recruitment rules.
“Of the earlier 13-point charter of demands, the state government has partially implemented a few of our demands and later assured to fulfill the remaining demands within six months. As such, we accepted your assurance and called off our democratic movement on 4 August, 2017 temporarily in the interest of the state government, but our demands have not been fulfilled till date,” the union said and threatened to resort to democratic action in case their demands are not met with soon.
