YUPIA, Oct 25: The Papum Pare district child protection unit organised a consultation meeting here on Thursday, during which different aspects of child care and protection were discussed thoroughly.
National Commission for Protection of Child Rights member Rosy Taba, who chaired the meeting, stressed the need for organizing sector wise medical camps to identify the physically challenged children, proper implementation of Child Labour (Protection and Regulation) Amendment Act, awareness camp, formation of district task force, identification of active NGOs, provision of free medical treatment of children residing in CCI.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Pige Ligu, SP Jimmy Chiram, DMO, ICDS Deputy Director, DDSE, DLO, NGOs and officials of WCDs of the district. (DIPRO)
