NAHARLAGUN, Oct 25: Health Minister Alo Libang said that state could perform better given the less population of the state.
“We must realize that problem lies with us, if we are not able to deliver”, he said while launching the website of Arunachal Pradesh Nursing Council (APNC) on Friday.
The minister asked everyone concerned to work in unison for better and effective working of the department.
“Responsibility shouldn’t be just upon the minister or the officers but everyone concerned should put in their united efforts,” he urged.
Libang further sought the nurse fraternity’s cooperation in making the health department better.
On the manpower crisis in the APNC and deplorable condition of the council’s office as mentioned by registrar APNC cum Deputy Director Nursing, Kijum Karga, he sought a detailed report to work on it.
He encouraged the council members to check on how nurses’ council in other state works and make it at par and the best.
The minister also assured to streamline the state health department.
The local MLA Techi Kaso, who was also present on the occasion hailed the nursing fraternity for their work and hoped that they will continue to perform their duties sincerely.
He urged the doctors and nurses to perform their duties with compassion.
“Such behavior defines the character of a good nurse and a doctor,” Kaso emphasized.
On the work front, he assured to put the government funds on proper use.
Earlier, the health minister also inaugurated the Continue Nursing Education (CNE) on ‘prevention & control of hospital associated infection’ which will begin on 30 October next.
