ITANAGAR, Nov 24: Arunachal Tourism Minister Nakap Nalo attended the 8th International Tourism Mart (ITM), which began in Manipur capital Imphal on Saturday evening.
A team from the state is also participating in the ITM, promoting and showcasing the tourism potential of Arunachal. Several foreign tour operators, at the invitation of the state’s tourism department, are expected to visit Arunachal after the conclusion of the event.
The ITM is an annual event organized in the NE states by the union tourism ministry, in association with the state governments. The event brings together the tourism business community and entrepreneurs from the eight NE states, and facilitates interactions between buyers, sellers, government agencies and other stakeholders.
The three-day ITM was inaugurated by union MoS (Independent) for Culture & Tourism, Prahlad Singh Patel, and Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
