ITANAGAR, Dec 2: International Day of Persons with Disabilities is being observed on 3 December.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu in a message said that “The day which aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions, we need to find out on how individuals and organisations can get involved in the day and how to break down barriers (both structural and attitudinal) for people with disability,” Khandu said in his message.
In his message, Governor BD Mishra said the celebration of the Day will create awareness about the needs and rights of the differently-abled people.
