CHANGLANG, Dec 20: The SBI’s lead district manager’s office here conducted a ‘financial literacy and awareness programme’ at Old Changlang village on Friday, in collaboration with local NGO Green Lawn Society.
The programme was aimed at creating awareness on the various forms of financial assistance being offered by banks to the public.
NABARD DDM Kamal Roy spoke about financial inclusion and financial planning. He briefed the participants on the government’s flagship schemes such as the CMKRY, the DDUSY, the DEDS, NLM, KCC, etc, and explained the procedures for availing the schemes.
Changlang SBI Branch Manager Tarun Rai explained the different types of accounts that can be maintained in a bank, and highlighted social security schemes like the PMJDY, the PMSBY, the PMJJBY, and the APY.
