LONGDING, Jan 7: The Longding District Olympic Association (DOA) on Tuesday selected 84 athletes for the State Mini Olympic Games to be held in Itanagar at a later date.
The trials for track-and-field events such as high jump, long jump, shot-put, javelin throw, discuss throw, and 100M, 200M and 800M races were held on 6 and 7 January.
A large number athletes from the district participated in the trials.
The district had bagged four gold, eight silver and 12 bronze medals in the games’ previous edition.
