NAHARLAGUN, Jan 21: As many as 494 students were benefitted from a school dental health programme organized by Arunachal Pradesh State Dental Council in collaboration with Indian Dental Association-Arunachal Pradesh State branch at Government Middle School, Model Village, Kangkarnalla here on Tuesday.
Fourteen dental surgeons led by Deputy Director of Health Services (Dental) Dr Joram Nisha conducted oral screening and educated the students on dental health during the programme. The participants were also educated on the importance of proper oral hygiene and effects of bad oral habits etc.
Free toothbrush and toothpaste and prizes to the winners of ‘Smile contest’ were distributed to encourage good oral hygiene.
