ITANAGAR, Jan 21: Accusing the construction agency of having carried out “substandard and incomplete work” on the Padi Yubbe outdoor stadium in Lower Subansiri HQ Ziro, the All Lower Subansiri Youth Association in a representation to the chief secretary on Tuesday requested him to postpone the inauguration of the stadium and the unveiling of Yubbe’s statue.
The association claimed that “some portion of the stadium’s roof has not been sufficiently supported, while the construction of the parking area and the drainage is also incomplete,” and called for postponing the inauguration until the construction work is completed.
The stadium was scheduled to be inaugurated on 21 January.
